Becker boys wrestling competed amongst Dassel Cokato, Annandale-Maple Lake (ANML), and Norwood-Young America last Thursday and proved victorious against all of them. 

 

Ethan Anderson, 106, was able to defeat both of his opponents, from Dassel Cokato (3-0) and ANML (5-0). 

 

Becker’s Mason Doucette, 106 and 113,  defeated both of his opponent as well from Dassel Cokato (9-0) and Young America (6-0).

 

Adam Jurek, 113, proved victorious against his opponent Zack Schmidt from ANML (11-0).  Tyson Ricker, 113, conquered his opponent from Young America (12-0).  

 

Wrestler Jake Nelson, 120, won his fight against his opponent from ANML(17-0), but lost his match against Jude Link from Dassel Cokato (9-3). 

 

Bennett Edling, 120, wrestled and defeated Blake Kimpling from Young America (18-0).  

 

Lukas Paulson, 126, proved victorious in all three of his matches against Dassel Cokato’s Ben Zobel (15-3), Trevor Wilson from ANML (23-0) and Young America (24-0).  

 

Jacob Jurek, 132, fought hard, but was defeated by Dassel Cokato’s Noah Halonen (15-9).  Kylen Rish, 132, fought in his matches, but lost to ANML (23-4) and Young America (24-3).

 

Becker wrestler Caden Dewall, 138, proved victorious in his match against Young America’s Jared Kleindl (27-3), but was defeated by Prestin Bradley from Dassel Cokato (15-12). 

 

Kevin Andres, 138 and 145, won both of his events against ANML’s Jack Klug (26-4) and Dassel Cokato’s Jake Selseth (19-12).  

 

Wrestler Blake Paulson, 145 and 152, proved victorious against his opponents from Young America (30-3) and Dassel Cokato (22-12), but lost his match against ANML (26-7).

 

Jacob Berning, 152 and 160, won his matches against Dassel Cokato’s Christian Johnson (28-12) and Young America (36-3), however, was defeated by ANML (26-11).

 

Logan Jurek, 160 and 170 wrestled and defeated Landon Smith from Dassel Cokato (31-12) and Logan Arnold from ANML (29-11).  

 

Connor Eickhoff, 160 and 170, fought hard, but was defeated in both of his matches against ANML and Young America). 

 

Lincoln Carlson, 170, proved victorious against his opponent from Norwood-Young America. 

 

Becker’s Brayden Weber, 182, wrestled and conquered all three of his matches against Jack Zobel from Dassel Cokato,, Mitch Bergstrom from ANML, and Young America.  

 

Reid Tripp, 195, won his match against Young America, but lost his matches against ANML and Dassel Cokato.  

 

Nicholas Goth, 220, fought hard during his matches, but lost to Dassel Cokato, ANML  and Young America.  

 

Nicholas Radunz of Becker, 285, had a very successful night as he proved victorious in all of his matches against Payton Duske from Dassel Cokato , ANML’s Josh Lanctot and Young America.  

 

Overall, Becker boys wrestling had a very strong night.  They compete next against Rogers Saturday and Big Lake Jan. 9.
