Bandits Beat Lakers, 8 3

 
The Becker Bandits went 1-1 this week, beating Clear Lake and losing to Monticello.
 
Polecats 6, Bandits 1
 
The Polecats of Monticello defeated the Becker Bandits Saturday evening by five runs. The Polecats were backed by 10 hits and  outstanding performances by the Polecats pitchers. 
 
Tanner Eckhart started on the mound, throwing seven innings to earn the win. He gave up just two hits, surrendered one run and recorded 20 strikeouts.  Wyatt Morrell threw one inning in relief, giving up two hits while recording one strikeout. Hunter Kisner threw the final inning in relief. 
 
The Bandits’ starting pitcher, Matthew Moe, threw five innings, giving up seven hits, surrendering four runs and recording three strikeouts. Dalton Fouquette threw two innings in relief, giving up three hits, issuing five walks, surrendering two walks and recording two strikeouts. 
Andrew Kolbinger threw one inning in relief, giving up one hit. 
 
The Polecats were led by Wyatt Morrell as he went 2-for-4 with a double and  one RBI. He also tallied a walk while scoring run. Michael Olson went 2-for-5 with a triple, an RBI and  scored a pair of runs. Michael Revenig went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a walk and a stolen base. 
 
Tanner Eckhart went 1-for-3 for two RBI’s and earned a walk. Jon Affeldt went 2-for-3 with a double,  a walk while scoring two runs. Cole Bovee went 1-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored. Joe Tupy went 1-for-3 with a walk. 
 
The Bandits were led by Fouquette, who went 2-for-4 with a double and he scored a run. Moe went 1-for-4 and Matt Krenz was 1-for-3. 
 
Bandits 8, Lakers 3
 
Sunday, the Bandits hosted the Clear Lake Lakers and won by five.
 
The Bandits played well, collecting eight hits and received good pitching performances from a pair of Bandit arms. 
 
Weston Schug started on the mound, throwing six innings to earn the win. He gave up three hits, issued six walks, gave up one run and recorded 14 strikeouts. Fouquette threw three innings in relief, giving up three hits, issuing two walks, surrendering two runs and recording seven strikeouts. 
 
The Bandits were led by Kreedan Blomquist, who went 1-for-5 with a double for a pair of RBI’s. Moe went 1-for-3 with three RBI’s while scoring a run. Fouquette went 2-for-3 with an RBI. He also had a sacrifice bunt and scored one run. 
 
Mitch Louden went 1-for-4, scoring two runs. Conrad Goldade went 1-for-3, earning a walk and  scoring one run.  Ryan Hess went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored. Schug earned a walk, was hit by a pitch and cored a run. Krenz was hit by a pitch and scored a run and Conner Rolf earned a walk. 
 
The Lakers had Ryan Skymanski start on the mound. He threw one inning, giving up three hits, one walk and four runs. Player/manager Mike Smith threw four innings in relief, giving up three hits, three walks, two runs while recording three strikeouts. Cole Gueningsman threw one inning in relief, giving up two runs, two walks while recording one strikeout. Blake Brown threw two innings in relief, giving up two hits and one walk. 
 
The Lakers were led by Tyler Mauer, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI. He earned a walk and also scored a run. Blake Brown went 1-for-5 for two RBI’s. Matt Korte went 2-for-4, with a walk and one run scored. Ben Anderson went 1-for-3 with two walks and one run scored. Cole Gueningsman, Tyler Reid and Brett all earned walks.

The Bandits played at Albertville Friday (full report on game in next week’s Citizen-Tribune), then play at Sartell Wednesday and at home Saturday against the Becker Buzzards during the Freedom Days festivities.
