The Becker-Big Lake Pee Wee B1 Hockey team took home the championship trophy in the Warroad Hockey Tournament, Dec. 9-11.
The B1 team went 4-0 in the tournament, defeating West Fargo in the first game 4-3 (in an overtime shootout), then won 12-1 in second game vs. Warroad. In the third game of the tournament, they trounced Roseau 10-1, then came around and beat the same West Fargo team again, 5-3 in the championship finale.
The B1 hockey team consists of Cooper Fredericks, Jack Beckstrom, Brayden Graning, Kellen Hurt, Luke Bordson, Charlie Heid, Zach Dembinski, Nik Hughes, Eli Scheideman, Dillon Lindeneau, Jacob Polacec and Ben Piehl.
The team is led by Head Coach Bob Hurt and his assistants are Eron Bordson, Tony Graning and Mark Fredericks.
