The Bemidji State University track and field team concluded its indoor season at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference 2015 Indoor Track and Field Championships last Friday in Mankato.
Junior Nikki Anderson of Becker teamed up with Nicole Crummy, Morgan Beattie and Sara Melom for a 2015-best 4:15.63 in the 4x400.
Anderson and Beattie also posted career marks Friday with Anderson recording a time of 9.60 in the 60-meter hurdles and Beattie finishing with a time of 1:49.87 in the 600-meter run.
Anderson has found success this season in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing in the top-five six times. She also set a previous career best time of 9.69 at the BSU Twilight event Feb. 20.
The University of Mary won the team championship, earning its fourth title in the last five years, while Brieanna Puckett (26 points) from Minnesota State University, Mankato was the top competitor.
Bemidji State finished 13th.
The Beavers now begin to prepare for the outdoor season, which begins April 4 at the Hamline Invitational in St. Paul.
Anderson is the daughter of Jim and Shelly Anderson of Becker and Nikki is studying elementary education with a pre-primary endorsement.
Nikki is graduating this May and will be staying on to be the track coach grad assistant while working for her masters.
