Ralph F. Goenner

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake for Ralph F. Goenner, age 93, who passed away Thursday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Virgil Braun will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at St. Marcus Catholic Church in Clear Lake and one hour prior to the services Tuesday also at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Clear Lake.
 
Ralph was born April 24, 1923 in Clear Lake to Lawrence & Mary (Steiner) Goenner. His mother died at a young age and his father remarried, Clara Hoffman. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Ralph married Lucille Habermann on Aug. 28, 1948 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony. He worked as a farmer all of his life in the Clear Lake area. Ralph was a member of St. Marcus Catholic church in Clear Lake as well as a member of St. Joseph Mutual Insurance, the fair board, soil conservation and the Clear Lake American Legion for 70 years. Ralph enjoyed working on the farm, fishing, deer hunting, making birdhouses, beekeeping and woodworking. He was a hard worker who played by the rules. Ralph was a dedicated family man who deeply loved and cared for his family.
 
Ralph is survived by his wife, Lucille of St. Cloud; children, Gary (Anita) Goenner of Waconia, Mary (Rick) Porwoll of Clear Lake, Larry (Terri) Goenner of St. Cloud, Matt (Kristen) of Becker; siblings, Rosemary (Roy) Wipper of Palmer, Floyd (Margaret) Goenner of Otsego, Janet (David) Jensen of Clear Lake, Karen (Gerald) Schuldt of Clear Lake; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and greatly anticipated the birth of two more great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Allan; sisters, Frona, Florence, Ruth Turnquist; infant brother, Leon and brothers, Clifford and Arnold.
 
 In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
