On December 11, 2021, God took Norma’s hand and together they walked to Heaven.

Norma was born in Crosby, Minnesota to James and Gladys (Maish) Preston. Norma was a gifted Artist along with her love of walking and making date nut bread which she loved giving to people.

Norma is survived by Cheryl (Marvin) Swanson, Sandra (Russell) Ernst, and Roger (DeDe) Hinrichs, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her first husband Robert Hinrichs, son Rodney, daughter-in-law Annette and grandson Rodney Jr. Hinrichs along with her second husband Clarence Mitchell.

Norma was a loving, giving spirit. Even in her passing Norma continues to help others by participating in the U of M Medical School Anatomy Bequest Program, which supports high quality education for future health professionals and continued advancements in medical care through research.

A celebration of Life is planned at the Monticello Legion on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 1pm to 5pm.

A private graveside service is planned or later.
