Mary Jo LaVigne, age 74, of Clear Lake, died suddenly, Friday, June 10 at her home. Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, June 15 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. The Rev. Michael Wolfbauer officiated.
Burial was in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in Duelm. Friends called Tuesday at the Foley Funeral Home prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Parish Prayers were held Tuesday. Service with Dignity provided by Foley Funeral Home.
Mary Josephine LaVigne was born April 13, 1942 in St. Cloud to William Sr. and Elizabeth (Dziuk) Latterell. She graduated from Cathedral High School. On August 22, 1961, Mary Jo was united into marriage with Robert LaVigne at St. John's Catholic Church in Foley. The couple lived and raised their family in Foley before moving to the Briggs Lake Area 18 years ago. Mary Jo worked as a bookkeeper for Corrigan Construction for the past 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, scrap booking, and garage sales. Mary Jo was most passionate about her family and loved to help others. She enjoyed spending time at her lake home. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church.
Mary Jo is survived by her husband, Robert of Clear Lake; children: Charles 'Chuck' (Diane) of Foley, Sheri (Pat) Dombrovski of Clear Lake, Linda (Joe) Corrigan of Clear Lake, and Amy (Jim) Chmielewski of Clear Lake; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings: Eunice (Alan) Cross of Foley, Tom Latterell of Foley and Jim Latterell of Foley. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Leonard Latterell, Cecil Latterell, Norbert Latterell, Dave Latterell and Bill Latterell; sisters; Irene Graham and Lucille Ruhoff.
