Mark Stephen Imholte was born on May 27, 1949 in St. Cloud to Alfred and Mary (Woebkenberg) Imholte. He married Lila Amundson on October 27, 1973 in Clear Lake. The couple then made their home in Clear Lake. Mark farmed his entire life; he farmed as a 4th generation farmer on the Imholte farm. He was a dedicated man who worked very hard. Mark enjoyed reading National Geographic, Readers Digest, solving Sudoku puzzles and playing Solitaire. He will be remembered for his dedication, commitment and faithfulness; and his great sense of humor. Most importantly, Mark’s family meant the world to him; especially sitting down for a good wholesome family gathering. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Lila of Clear Lake; children, Stephanie (Joe) Gruenes of Clear Lake, Matt (Megan) Imholte of Clear Lake, Ross (Melissa) Imholte of Clear Lake, and Chad Olsen; mother, Mary Imholte; brothers and sisters include Mavis Flowers, Myron (Connie) Imholte, Marsha (Steve) Schrader, sister-in-law, Brenda Imholte, Mitch (Marlene) Imholte, Melody (Larry Schmidt) Imholte; grandchildren, Jordan and Alyssa Gruenes, Noah and Madison Imholte, and Xavier, Devin and Kendra Olsen.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred; siblings, Lorraine, Mathew, Martin, Marvin; brother-in-laws, Jay Flowers and Bob Beck.
As a true farmer, and with spring just around the corner, Mark will be guiding us through the challenges ahead and watching with pride.
