Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Mon., Aug. 14 at Becker Baptist Church in Becker for Julie M. Sandberg, age 54, who passed away Tuesday at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. Rev. Rob Olsen will officiate and burial will be in the Big Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker and one hour prior to the services Monday at the church.
Julie Marie was born Feb. 23, 1963 in Buffalo to Thomas & Donna (Martin) Holovnia. She met her husband Jason playing wallyball and the two were married Sept. 12, 1998 in Mora. They have lived in the Big Lake area since 1999. Julie was a Pharmacy Technician for 12 years at Kemper Drug and for 14 years she worked as a Chemist in the food division at Cargill in Minnetonka. She was an avid reader, enjoyed outdoor activities and playing volleyball. She loved spending time with her family and was always encouraging her daughters, she was their biggest fan and was the best “dance mom”. Julie was very humble, sweet, and had a very strong faith in God. She was thoughtful, kind, and a generous woman who never complained.
Julie is survived by her husband, Jason of Big Lake; daughters, Jennifer and Jessica of Big Lake; parents, Tom & Donna Holovnia of St. Cloud; brothers, Paul (Susie) Holovnia of Chanhassen and Jim (Kristen) Holovnia of Edina; and sister-in-law, Nancy Holovnia of Plymouth.
