Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2025 at Saron Lutheran Church in Big Lake for Geraldine “Gerry” M. Rehnke-Olson, age 92, who passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Rev. Kyle Sidlo will officiate and burial will be private at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids. 

Gerry was born July 5, 1933 in Alfred, ND to David and Marie (Fix) Dufloth and later was adopted by Clarence and Alice (Eastman) Ackerman. She married Duane Rehnke in North Dakota in 1955 and he died in 2004. She then married Carl Olson in 2005 and he died in 2021. Gerry lived most of her life in New Hope and was a Registered Nurse at Glenwood Hills Hospital in Golden Valley. She was also a teacher at Anoka Community and Technical College. She was a member of Elk River United Methodist Church, she was also a member of the Red Hats Society and her bible group in Texas. Gerry enjoyed playing the piano for Sunday services at Brunswick United Methodist Church in Crystal. She was a very caring and social person with a large circle of friends. 

Survivors include her sons and daughter, Gary (Linda) of Sartell, Diane (Philip) Larson of Republic, WA, Greg of Cold Spring and Jay of Cold Spring; 12 grandchildren; brother, Stanley Bierle; brother-in-law, Elmo Bergeson and Carl’s family.   

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Duane Rehnke and Carl Olson; sister, Ginny Bergeson; and brother, Curt Ackerman.
