Floyd C. Johnson

Floyd C. Johnson, age 77, of Annandale, died August 12 at his home with his family at his side. Memorial Services were held Thurs., Aug. 18 at Our Saviour's Lutheran, French Lake, with Rev. Edward Groop officiated. Burial followed at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, South Haven. Visitation was held prior to the service, Thursday, at the church.
 
Floyd Carlos Johnson was born June 20, 1939 in French Lake to Reynold and Bernice (Walberg) Johnson.  He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church near French Lake.  Floyd grew up in French Lake and attended Annandale High School.  He worked in construction for Elk River Bituminous and Mid-Minnesota Hot Mix; he also was self-employed as an over the road truck driver and a farmer.  Floyd enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the birds.
 
He is survived by his life companion of 34 years Myrtle Bailey of Annandale; nine children Kristi Lee of Aurora, CO, Tammy Johnson of Brainerd, Anne Schultz of Annandale, Julie (Kelly) Danelke of South Haven, Rob (Bobbie) Johnson of Clearwater, Cindy (Ken) Steckler of Bismark, ND, David (Danne) Miller of Buffalo, Linda (Roger) Marschel of Big Lake, Karen Bullert of Albertville and Heather (Doug) Sanders of Brooklyn Park; eighteen grandchildren Josh, Boomer, Nicole, Cody, Zach, Shauni, Caitlin, Brian, Laura, Shelley, Kristin, Candice, Ryan, Rebecca, Garrett, Haley, Abby and Nick; nine great grandchildren Morgan, Mason, Mya, Eden, Harrison, Ethan, Logan, Gilbert and Eli; sisters and brother Lorraine (Jerry) Hicks of Blaine, Karen (Mik) Carlisle of Deerwood, Donna (Butch) Reil of St. Michael and Duane Johnson of Annandale; and sisters-in-law Sharon and Marlene Johnson.  Floyd is preceded in death by his parents Reynold and Bernice Johnson; and brothers Harlin and Melvin Johnson.
