Memorial Services was Fri., Sept. 16, at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo for Dorothy A. Kiffmeyer, age 77, who passed away Sunday at her home. Rev. Luke Schmidt will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker.
Dorothy was born June 13, 1939 in Alvarado to Adolph & Hilda (Kjelsrud) Hagglund. She married Vernon Kiffmeyer on June 27, 1998 at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Dorothy graduated from Alvarado High School in 1957 and from Concordia College in Moorhead in 1962. She was an Elementary School Teacher in Oslo, Crookston and St. Louis Park for 36 years before retiring in 1998. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Dorothy enjoyed traveling and spending her summers at the lake. She was fun loving and had a great sense of humor and was known to the family as "The Princess".
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Vernon of Clear Lake; step-children, Patricia Coates of Franklin, KY, Brenda Kiffmeyer of Homestead, FL, June Farniok of Buffalo, Jodi Kiffmeyer of Montrose; grandchildren, Andrew, Lauren, Danni, Noah and Miley; sister-in-law, Sandi Hagglund of Fairhaven; and other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tami Rolstad; brothers and sister, Dallas and Donald Hagglund, Gail Jacobson, and Rick Hagglund.
