Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wed., March 30 at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Becker for Colleen A. Hannon, age 52, who passed away Wednesday from ovarian cancer at Quiet Oaks Hospice in St. Augusta. Cancer took her life, not her spirit. Rev. Eugene Doyle will officiate and burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker and one hour prior to the services Wednesday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Becker.
Colleen Ann Hannon was born July 16, 1963 in Minneapolis to Raymond & Sheila (McGuire) Hannon. She lived in St. Michael, St. Louis Park and Osseo before moving to Becker in the early 1990’s. Colleen recently retired after 33 years of devoted service to Xcel Energy and her nuclear family.
She was a member of Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Becker. Colleen was a proud mother, stepmom and grandmother. She was a big rock and roller, outdoors woman, animal lover and Peanuts gang enthusiast. Colleen was outgoing and could light up a room with her smile.
Colleen is loving survived by domestic partner and longtime boyfriend, Greg Rask; her Gentle Giant son Brady Hannon; loving mother, Sheila McGuire Hannon; siblings, Shawna Goldammer (David), James Hannon (Sheila), and Bill Hannon; nephews, AJ, Tim and Austin; niece, Michaela; stepchildren, Naomi Rask Golden (Bill), Cameron Rask (Megan), and Toni Rask; and two grandchildren, .Brenna and Dylan. Colleen was preceded in death by her father, Raymond.
