Chad Vincent VanderVenter, 55 Cambridge, MN December 26, 1970 – January 12, 2026

Chad Vincent VanderVenter, age 55 of Cambridge, MN, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026. He was born in Robbinsdale, MN, on December 26, 1970.

Chad graduated from Big Lake High School in 1989 and furthered his education at Anoka Tech. receiving his associate’s degree. He proudly served in the US Air Force and then the Air National Guard for 14 years. While in the Air National Guard he served in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm from 1991-1993. He was a member of the Cambridge American Legion Post 0290 and was a volunteer for MACV – Military Assistance Council for Veterans. Through his father, Chad was a proud member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.

On July 16, 2004, Chad VanderVenter and Honey Martin were united in marriage in Monticello, MN. 

Chad enjoyed owning and operating A10 Shuttle for many years in Monticello, MN. Chad found great joy in working on and riding ATVs, traveling, visiting family in Bayfield, WI, and in Las Vegas, NV, and spending time with friends. Chad’s upbeat personality and sense of humor will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Yvonne VanderVenter; grandmother, Gayle Haiden; and brother, Chuck VanderVenter.

Chad is survived by his loving wife, Honey VanderVenter; dad, Clement “Butch” VanderVenter; sister, Carrie (John) Creswell; parents-in-law, Wayne and Sugar Martin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew, and numerous friends.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 25, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, with Military Rites at 1:00 PM, at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main Street NW, Elk River, MN.
