Becker, MN

June 23, 1945 – March 15, 2022

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Clearwater Legion for Audrey Carol Stang, of Becker, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 surrounded by her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Becker.

Audrey was born to Norris and Esther (Olson) Gunderson, on the family farm, June 23, 1945. She was the third of five girls and grew up milking cows and raising chickens. She graduated from Becker in 1963. She married George Stang August 17, 1963. Audrey lived most of her life in the Becker area where she raised her family. They raised three children: Daniel, Nancy and Scott just one mile from her childhood home. Audrey worked at Honeywell for over 30 years. Family meant the world to her, and she would do anything for them. Audrey opened her door to many others who she took in as family, taking care of those in need. Audrey enjoyed watching the little ones grow, giving them her "Grandma kisses" and always had M&MS in her pocket for them. Audrey loved being outside, enjoying the high life with bonfires, family softball outings, and horse shows. While she was home, she always had her shows on, Days of our Lives, Little House on the Prairie, and Wheel of fortune. Audrey could easily talk to anyone and often enjoyed talking to family and friends on the telephone.

She leaves behind her husband George of 58 years, her three children Daniel Stang (Maureen Colford), Nancy (Chris) James and Scott (Ann) Stang; sisters Judy Borst, Janet Aleckson, Linda Ouellette and Susan Lambert; grandchildren Tom, Tammy (TJ), Tara, Nikki, Mikey, Joey: great grandchildren Wyatt, Elliot, Quinn, Henry, and Ty, as well as many bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; Norris and Esther; and in-laws, Norbert and Isabel Stang.
