St. Luke’s Church annual Parish Festival is this Sunday, Aug. 28.
The festival, which started back in 1992, has grown each year, with over 1,000 people attending in recent years.
The day starts with Sunday mass beginning at 10 a.m. with praise and worship music.
Outdoor activities, including the traditional pork chop dinner, start at 11 a.m. Adults pay $9. Children up to 12 pay $5 and under 4 is free.
One of the biggest events at the festival is the quilt auction, with hand made quilts from baby to queen size bringing in hundreds of dollars each.
The quilts can be viewed on site and the auction begins at 2 p.m.
Visitors can also place their bids at the silent auction, featuring beautiful theme “Baskets from Heaven” located inside.
The grand raffle, starting at 4 p.m. has thousands of dollars worth of prizes.
There’s also lots of delicious food, craft booths, pop and beer, an afternoon DJ featuring Christian music, and games of chance for all ages, including Bingo, the Cake Walk and inflatable games for the kids.
There is also a Country Store on site, featuring fresh produce, homemade items and more.
St. Luke’s Church is located on Co. Rd. 7 and Huber Ave., south of I-94. Admission to the festival is free.
