Several locals from Central Minnesota decided to make the trek to Washington, D.C. on Monday to be a part of the Donald Trump Inauguration.
Amy Fenske and Gail Wilkinson of Becker were a couple of those trekkers who ventured to the nation’s capitol. They watched the pre-inaugural celebration on Sunday which featured a live performance of “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People which prompted Trump to do his signature dance move when the song played.
Some attendees even changed Y.M.C.A. to M.A.G.A as a way of celebrating Trump’s slogan.
The rally also featured celebrity backers including actor Jon Voight and musician Kid Rock, who all paid complimentary tribute to Trump.
Earlier in the day, Trump participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
To top it off, President Trump and his wife Melania watched a pre-inauguration fireworks celebration from Trump National Golf Club, Washington D.C. in Virginia.
