Monica Loch views Loch Jewelers in Monticello as a gift to her 170 descendants and future generations, as it teaches them valuable life lessons when they come in and work at the locally owned jewelry store, even if they do not end up staying at the store long term. Monica shared these words about her family business: “Money was just a median, it was never the goal. The goal was to help people.” Loch Jewelers in Monticello is celebrating it’s 72nd Anniversary this year in July of 2021. Monica and her husband Julius started the store in Maple Lake in 1949! Monica currently spends her days reading, sewing, playing cards, and enjoying visits from her family. The Matriarch of Loch Jewelers is Mother to 11 children, has 57 Grandchildren, 110 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
