Summer is over. Ugh. Or is it “yippee” for the parents? As Labor Day approaches and the Minnesota State Fair concludes their 12-day run in St. Paul, many area schools, students and staffs begin facing the fact that another school year is just around the corner.
“Welcome back to the school year,” says Vice-Principle Mark Kolbinger.
“I feel very fortunate to be able to work in a community which puts such a high value on education,” he said. “I share those high expectations for our students and look forward to helping every one reach his or her potential.”
The school calendars are printed, stapled and boxed and are available for all families, friends and businesses of the school district either from the school directly or at front desks of businesses, like Sherburne State Bank. The calendar is chock-full of important dates for school events, meetings and school closing dates.
A “Welcome Back” letter along with student schedules were emailed to students and parents Aug. 23 and schedules will be made viewable in Skyward. Ninth grade students will receive this information via mail. Schedule changes are limited and will be made Sept. 6 starting at 8:30 a.m.
