History Group Banks $10k In A Night

The Sherburne County History Center held its 20th annual fall fundraiser dinner, Autumn Lights Gala Saturday at the Carousell Works in Big Lake.
 
Executive Director Mike   Brubaker    reports eighty-three tickets sold, and an active crowd, contributing an estimated $10,000 to support History Center general operations.
 
The May North again provided the music for the event.
 
Among the bigger draws among bidder contests - the wall-scale home designed and constructed quilt, by Marilyn Bujalski of Clear Lake.
 
Other top tickets included a 43-inch television set, Vikings tickets and wheelbarrow of beer. The bid items along contributed $3,500 to the proceeds of the evening.
 
The History Center’s five-member board, Bill and Carol Kolbinger, Teresa Warner, Jean Johnson and Diane Jacobsen, served as fundraiser committee.
