The Becker High School DECA organization is once again offering a free community event, as their third annual DECA the Halls celebration will be held on December 17 from 5 until 7 p.m.
Join the DECA students in the high school cafeteria and gymnasium as they have an exciting evening of fun planned for the entire family. Visitors are asked to enter Door #3 - the main activities entrance.
Christmas games, music, crafts, snacks and even Santa Claus will highlight the agenda, and the high school choir program will be caroling.
“Through this event, our DECA students work on their business skills by connecting with local companies, event planning, budgeting, and marketing,” says DECA Advisor Kris Simon. “We will have a handful of vendors that night — and a silent auction to raise money for our food pantry and DECA competition fees.”
Through participation in DECA, students have the opportunity to work on real life skills in a variety of career clusters, including marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Through their personal leadership development, students experience an integral component of Career and Technical Education (CTE).
The entire community is invited to come and experience this fun-filled evening.
