Becker Freedom Days is right around the corner! Here are the schedule of events that commence Mon., June 14.
Monday
St. Cloud Financial Credit Union will be featuring Ice Cream Floats from noon until 2 p.m.
Tuesday
Steil Insurance will feature Walking Tacos from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Becker Area Senior Center (BASC) will host a BBQ chicken lunch with all the fixings at 11:30 a.m. at Becker City Park, with music provided, and Cock-A-Doodle Zoo. This event is open to the public, and a free will offering will be accepted.
The Sherburne History Center will hold an ice cream social from 6-8 p.m. at the history center. They will also host a community art fest during regular business hours, Tuesday through Friday.
Wednesday
Sherburne State Bank hosts their annual Customer appreciation lunch and ice cream served from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. on the lawn at Sherburne State Bank.
American Family Insurance – Amy Chmielewski will hold a free windshield chip repair day’ from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the parking lot of American Family Insurance. This event is open to the public and a free will offering will go to Becker Backpack Buddies.
Thursday
National Realty Guild hosts a drive through lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with proceeds going to Becker Food Shelf.
Friday
The Becker Farmer’s Market will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the parking lot at Becker Furniture World.
A Veterans Monument dedication will occur at city hall at 5 p.m.
Freedom Days 5K Run/Walk will have a start time 6:45 p.m. The Freedom Days 5K will be a unique cross-country style race at Pebble Creek Golf Club. The Lions/Legion will feature live music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Legion (Old Fire Hall). Live music fwill be featured rom JJ and the Guys. Hamburgers, brats, and beverages will be for sale.
Saturday
All entertainment and activities will take place at the old Becker Fire Hall in the T-Town area of Becker.
The parade starts at 11 a.m.
Family Fun Fest goes from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature games/inflatables, face painting, foor & bevearge vendors, asse Petting Zoo & Pony Rides, kids DJ, and much more!
The Becker Blast Softball Tournament will take place at the BAC and Becker High School Complexes on Friday, June 18, Saturday, June 19, and Sunday, June 20.
The Becker Dance Team will have a performance which begins after the parade at the Hancock Street stage area.
The Block Party starts at 7 p.m. and goes to 10 p.m. ~ featuring Junk FM – rock ‘n roll cover band playing a wide variety of high energy music from the 80’s, 90’s, and 00’s and current!!
Fireworks begin at around 10 p.m.
