On the second-to-the-last day of school Tuesday, Becker faculty gathered at the Becker Middle School to hold their annual teacher recognition service.
Four teachers were named Teacher-of-the Year for each school (high, middle, intermediate and primary) and others were recognized for their many years of service.
Two teachers — who will be retiring from education by this time next year — were given plants and recognized for their service to the schools. They are Margi Miller and Maria Hed.
Five teachers reached the five year anniversary of their start date and they include Dylan Eldridge, Kayla Stafford, Maggie Maine, Melissa Nicolas and Tony Miller.
Six teachers reached the 10 year plateau and include Anna Kunz, Bonnie Hedlund, Carol Seibert, Kari Kleya, Kimberly Stach and Stacy Meyer.
For 15 years, Charles Zimmer, Hilary Biegler, Jennifer Feierabend, Lisa Sackett and Michelle Clemen were given certificates.
Seven teachers were honored for 20 years including Lance Fox, Beth Hovde, Gretchen Bordson, Heidi Luhman, Judi Klosterman, Katrina Brown and Marilyn Miller.
For 25 years, Julie Knudsen, Lisa Fisher, Mary Madsen and Paul Schmidt were hailed.
Steve Hill was recognized for his 35 years in education at Becker schools.
The TOY for the primary school was Pat Brown. For the intermediate school, it was Brenda Holthaus, for the middle school it was Feierabend and for the high school it was Jo Eichler.
