An Elk River man was killed Thursday when his SUV collided head on with a passenger vehicle on Sherburne Co Rd 8 near the intersection of 100th Ave. William Johnson, 85, died at the scene of the two vehicle crash which occurred just before 2:30 p.m. in Clear Lake Township. The other driver involved was identified as Dennis Stawski, 20, of Clearwater. Stawski’s injuries were believed to be non-life threatening and there were no other occupants in either vehicle. 

 

Details as to the cause of the crash are still under investigation.
