Clearwater Area Residents Come Together For Ecumenical Prayer Service

Parishioners from area Clearwater churches came together Wednesday evening to share in the annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Prayer Service, hosted this year by Rejoice Lutheran Church.

Father Dennis Backer and Deacon Pete Bellavance from St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Pastor David Hibbison from New Life in Christ, and Pastor Steve Timm from Rejoice Lutheran Church led the prayer service.

Beginning at 7 p.m., the service included singing and prayers of Thanksgiving, with special music sung by Charity and Jessica Timm and the ecumenical choir.

Prior to the service attendees gathered for a homemade soup and bread supper. Fellowship followed at 7:30.

All offerings collected during the soup supper and prayer service were donated to the Clearwater Area Food Shelf.
