CL Legion awards Guardian Fleet Safety

Members of the Clear Lake American Legion presented a much-deserved award to Guardian Fleet Safety of Clear Lake with an award recognizing them for their contribution to the employment of American Veterans.

In November of 2024,   Tami Petty with Guardian Fleet Safety, and Bud Stimmler, Clear Lake American Legion Post 354, began to collaborate to submit a nomination for Veteran Employer of the year to the Minnesota Department of the American Legion on behalf of Guardian Fleet Safety.

The nomination was then submitted to the Sixth District of the Minnesota Department of the American Legion.  Guardian Fleet Safety was selected by Sixth District as the District Veteran Employer of the year in January of 2025.  The nomination was forwarded the Minnesota Department of the American Legion at that time.

Guardian Fleet Safety was then selected as the Minnesota Department of the American Legion as the Veteran Employer of the year for 2025.  On July 11, 2025, Bud Stimmler and Steve Schrader of Clear Lake American Legion Post 354 traveled to Willmar to attend the State American Legion convention and received the award on behalf of Guardian Fleet Safety.  Bud and Steve then presented the award to Charles Teigen, CEO Guardian Fleet Safety, and the veteran employees of Guardian Fleet Safety on July 31, 2025.

Currently approximately 18% of the employees at Guardian Fleet Safety are veterans of the armed forces of the United States.
