Bryan Roelike, son of Jim and Pat Roelike, of Becker, graduated Becker High School in 1995. He studied at Alexandria Technical College and graduated with a Law Enforcement degree in 1997. Bryan decided to join the US Navy in August of 1998. Bryan went to boot camp in Great Lakes, IL and then reported to the USS NIMITZ in Virginia in November, 1998 as a Seaman (E3). He left the USS NIMITZ in August of 2000 and reported to Master-At-Arms "A" School.
He graduated MA "A" school in OCT of 2000 and was advanced to MA3 (E4). At that time he reported to Naval Support Activity Bahrain in NOV of 2000 and while stationed there, he was advanced to MA2/E5 (MAR 2001), and was stationed in Bahrain until MAY of 2002. He then reported to Naval Hospital Great Lakes in JUN of 2002.
While at Naval Hospital Great Lakes, Bryan got promoted to MA1/E6 (MAR 2003), he was there until 2005 and then transferred to Naval Air Station Sigonella. In 2008, while in Sigonella, Bryan got selected for Chief Petty Officer (MAC/E7). In OCT of 2008 he transferred to Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR), where he taught the Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor Course. While, there, he was at CENSECFOR and was deployed to Guantanamo Bay Cuba for Detainee Operations (FEB10-JAN11). In DEC of 2012, he reported to Coastal Riverine Squadron THREE, near San Diego, CA, where him and his wife Joy, remain today. June 5, Bryan was selected for Senior Chief Petty Officer (MACS/E8).
