During their annual governor’s dinner, the Clearwater Lions honored area residents for their achievements.
Clearwater Lions member Nancy Senn was presented a Melvin Jones Award, as was Clearwater-Clear Lake Food Shelf Director Susan Brown, who was honored with the award for being an outstanding individual who serves others in the Clearwater community and surrounding area.
The Melvin Jones Fellowship was created in 1973 and is named after the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones. His award is given to outstanding Lion members who exemplify the nature and service of the club. The award is the Lions’ highest form of recognition given to acknowledge an individual’s dedication to humanitarian service.
