Brothers & Sisters Fraternal Organizations Exhibit

Secret handshakes.  Resolutions made to not enter into another war in with Europe.  Formal withdrawal cards.  Swords.  Societies with secrets.  This is found in the Brothers & Sisters: Fraternal Organizations in Sherburne County exhibit at the Sherburne History Center until September 26, 2015.

Artifacts found in the collections of the Sherburne County Historical Society and known history of fraternal organizations in Sherburne County are included in this small exhibition.

Information about the Grange, International Order of Odd Fellows and the Rebekahs, Knights of Columbus, Knights of the Maccabees, Knights of Pythias, Masons and Order of the Eastern Star are a part of our local history.   A few of these organizations continue to be active in our county today.   These organizations formed to benefit our communities and create social interaction among neighbors.
