BHS celebrates reopening of PAC with Elf

The Becker High School Drama club held their opening night performance of Elf on Friday night. This is the first drama club performance to take place in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) since 2019, and students were excited to be back on the main stage, instead of performing in the parking lot.

Senior Nash Super, cast as Sam in the performance, said that the return to the PAC fueled the cast with extra energy for the performance.

Super and the other seniors in the cast agreed that this production was bittersweet, as they got the chance to return to the PAC one last time before graduating.

“It’s both sad and exciting,” said Marcus Kolbinger, cast as Walter Hobbs.

Austen Clemen, cast as Buddy, agreed that this final production felt almost surreal.

The cast encourages the public to attend the shows and the re-opening of the PAC.

“It’s a super funny show!” promised Alyssa Oelmann, cast as Emily Hobbs. “It’s hilarious.”

Performances are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 5, at 2 p.m. Tickets are available at Becker.HomeTownTicketing.com/embed/all. Prices are $12 for adults and $10 for students, seniors, and military.
