The Becker Fire Department held their annual Open House last Saturday to throngs of curious people on a beautiful, fall day.
The event ran from late morning to early afternoon and included a plethora of fun activities and learning experiences.
As usual, the fire department station had a bounce house inside along with food and drink choices, balloons, raffles and more. Outside, there were free truck rides through the city as well as some demos and a visit from North Memorial’s Air Care chopper.
Also outside, firefighters instructed youngsters on handling a fire hose while shooting water at a simulated burning building. All-in-all, the day was delightful for all visitors who wanted to know more about their local fire department.
