2 accidents send 2 to hospitals with critical injuries

A St. Cloud man was transported to North Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries following a two-vehicle accident in Elk River, July 11 at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Andrew Michael Ohara, 19 of St. Cloud, was driving his 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt westbound on Hwy. 10 when he collided with a Ford Explorer driven by 43-year-old Elk River native, Christopher David Rock at the intersection of Hwy. 10 and Joplin St. Rock was eastbound attempting to make a left-hand turn when the accident occurred.

Rock was transferred to Mercy Hospital with non-lfe-threatening injuries.

Sauk Rapids

A 2002 Ford RV driven by Mark George Meredith, 42 of South Haven, was northbound on Hwy. 15 in Sauk Rapids when he ran a red light at Co. Rd. 29 and struck a 2002 Chevrolet Impala driven by Adam Kent Pederson, 35 of Sartell as he traveled westbound. The driver, adult passenger and seven children in the RV were uninjured. Pederson was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with life threatening injuries. Alcohol was not involved.
