NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the Town Clerk of the Township of Lynden, Stearns County, Minnesota, will be accepting Affidavits of Candidacy at the residence of the Clerk, 20517 Woodbine Rd, Clearwater MN 55320.
The first day to file Affidavits of Candidacy will be January 3, 2017 to January 17, 2017, 5:00 p.m., with the office of the Clerk (located at the Lynden Town Hall 21367 Co Rd 44) being open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the last day of filing, January 17, 2017. The Annual Election to be held on March 14, 2017.

ORDINANCE NO. 2016-11
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER, MINNESOTA AMENDING ORDINANCE 2016-10 ANNEXING LAND
LOCATED IN CLEARWATER TOWNSHIP, WRIGHT COUNTY, MINNESOT
PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES § 414.033
SUBDIVISION 2(3),
PERMITTING ANNEXATION BY ORDINANCE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City Council hereby amends Section 4 of Ordinance 2016-10 to read as follows:
SECTION 4. The City of Clearwater, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 414.036, with respect to the property taxes payable on the Property hereby annexed, shall make a cash payment to the Town of Clearwater in accordance with the following schedule:
In the first year following the year in which the City of Clearwater could first levy on the Property, an amount equal to $28.71; and
b. In the second and final year, an amount equal to $28.70.
SECTION 2. That the City Clerk of the City of Clearwater is hereby authorized and directed to file a copy of this Ordinance with the Municipal Boundary Adjustment Unit of the Office of Administrative Hearings, the Minnesota Secretary of State, the Wright County Auditor, and the Clearwater Township Clerk.
SECTION 3. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and publication in summary form in the City’s official newspaper and is final upon the date this Ordinance is approved by the Office of Administrative Hearings.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PUBLICATION OF A SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. 2016-43, AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING LAND TO THE CITY OF CLEARWATER
At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Clearwater, held Monday, the 17th day of October, 2016, at the City Office, 605 County Road 75, Clearwater, Minnesota, 55320,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLEARWATER RESOLVED:
Pursuant to the authority of Minn. Stat. Sec. 412.191, subd. 4, the City Council hereby determines that the publication of the title and a summary of Ordinance No.2016-10, which annexes certain land to the City of Clearwater, in the form attached as Exhibit A to this Resolution, will clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of Ordinance No. 2016-10, and it is hereby directed that the attached summary be published in accordance with the law.

The City Council of the City of Clearwater, Minnesota, Counties of Wright and Stearns, pursuant to the authority of Minn. Stat.§414.033, passed Ordinance 2016-10, which annexed to the City an abutting, undeveloped 3.24 acre parcel of land located in Clearwater Township.
The land which was annexed by Ordinance 2016-10 is legally described in the ordinance.
