Bill Morgan recently wrote an article that took him back in time to school days and a teacher that made a difference in his life. The memories he shared and the profound impact his teacher made will last a lifetime.
As my son, a senior at Becker High School, approaches graduation I have looked back on the years and the many teachers that have made his school years successful.
Early childhood education is where teachers began not only teaching children, but laso their parents the ins and out of guiding their little ones. At the Primary School, amazing teachers laid the foundation of fun with reading, writing, and math. The Intermediate “Rock” was where students learned more about responsibility and teamwork as they were woven into daily life. The move to the Middle School was the place where teachers strengthened student independence and helped develop positive character. Finally, High School brought student leaders together through a program that made incoming freshman feel welcomed, and teachers put in countless extra hours developing engaging lessons, and have helped hundreds of students.
For many years, people have moved to Becker for the small class sizes and an excellent education. Teachers have been honored to work in this district. I am so grateful that my senior has had the opportunities he has had in Becker with a first rate education. It is my hope that our teachers will be valued now and in the future to fill those facilities with quality education as my younger children make thier way through the Becker School District. It is hard for me to envision the walls of our classrooms and our new facilities filled with anything but the very best teachers.
