Letters To The Editor

TO THE EDITOR:
My vote is for Sean Deringer for Wright County Sheriff, without a doubt. If you haven’t met Sean as of yet, he by far is the best candidate for the sheriff’s position. I encourage you to look at his website and see all the qualifications Sean has. Sean has held pretty much every position available in the sheriff’s department. He currently holds the patrol captain position, which is third in charge overall. He is an honest caring individual, will treat everyone with respect and equality. He will get things that need to be addressed done. Sean also has the leadership skills that Wright County needs. If elected, Sean indicates he will be ready on day one, and I truly believe this. I have known Sean for 20+ years.
Sean has been with the Wright County Sheriff’s Department for 22+ years, holding many different positions, he earned the promotions through hard work and determination.
Bill Fobbe,
Maple Lake, MN.

TO THE EDITOR:
I just wanted to send a Great Big Thank You to everyone who stopped by our house during the Palmer Day celebration to listen to good music and participate in our Silent Auction to raise money for our Great American Military Veterans!
In just over 3 hours we raised over $900 in money, canned goods, and clothing!
We are so grateful for the kind donations made to the Silent Auction by the following local businesses; McDonald’s Meats (Clear Lake, MN), Minnesota Twins Baseball Club, Coil’s Flags & Flagpoles (St Cloud, MN), and Jack & Jim’s Restaurant (Duelm).
Our donation was presented to the Clear Lake American Legion on Fri., Sept. 14. The donation will be used for the St Cloud VA as well as the Eagle’s Healing Nest in Sauk Rapids.
Thank you all and God Bless you all!
Mark S. Rinehart,
St. Cloud, MN.

TO THE EDITOR:
In the United States the American voter has a fondness for incumbents. In the city of Becker we must put a stop to this fondness. We must vote for change. We need better control of our city government. We need new ideas, objectivity, a fresh view of the city and no hidden agendas.
Mr. Rich Hendrickson, the incumbent, has had his chance from 2013-2018. He voted unanimously with his follow council persons to terminate Mr. Troy Malo, Mr. Joe Danielson and Mr. Jamie Cassidy. Mrs. Lynette Brannan served from 2011-2015. They had their chance.
It is time to move on and we have three new candidates on the ballot this year. Mr. Troy Cox and Dennis Rzeszortarski have never served in office. They will bring a change to Becker.  They will serve you the citizen always keeping you in mind when they make the best decision
They will not serve a personal agenda. I fully support Mr. Troy Cox and Mr. Dennis Rzeszotarski to be your new Becker city council members.
Nick Smith,
Becker, MN.

TO THE EDITOR:
Why is an employee for the City of Becker making statements at the golf course bar/restaurant to customers (potential voters) regarding why they should not vote for City Council Candidates, Troy Cox, Dennis Carlson or Dennis Reszotarski?
Although there is nothing that prevents a city worker from having a personal opinion. It may be or is a violation under Minnesota Statute 43A.32 that states, "No employee shall, directly or indirectly, during hours of employment, take part in any political activity".
Is it ignorance or arrogance? This sort of attitude and behavior needs the attention of voters this election. Becker does not need another elitist on the City Council. To bring about a change, our City Government residents and voters can let those individuals running and working for our City know, no group of people is better than the other, let alone above the law.
Vote for a change instead of more of the status quo. Vote for Troy Cox, Dennis Carlson or Dennis Reszotarski.
Heather Smith,
Becker, MN.
