Woman from Pennock dies in Becker car accident

A two-vehicle accident  last Thursday in Becker proved fatal for an 84-year-old woman from Pennock, MN.

At around 12:46 p.m. April 25, a Mazda CX-5  — driven by 28-year-old Monticello resident Anne Elizabeth Lanier — was going westbound on Hwy.  10 while a Ford Five Hundred — driven by 84-year-old Ardis Irene Knight of Pennock — was going east bound on Hwy. 10 when they collided.

Lanier had two other passengers in her vehicle including one-year-old Saeed Rahim Fattal and six-year-old Sloan Jolie Mannklante when the accident occurred. All three were transported to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Knight was airlifted to  Hennepin County Medical Center where she was eventually declared dead.

All drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol/drugs were not involved.

Assisting at the scene were Becker Fire and PD, Centracare Ambulance and Life Link Helicopter.
