Moms do so much!  Pick up a Take & Make kit from the library and do something special for your mom. While supplies last.

Author Mary Casanova

A lively, interactive presentation with author Mary Casanova. Mary recounts her journey growing up in a family of ten, struggling with reading, and discovering that books are a window into the world and writing is a way to "have a voice." Primarily for grades K-5. A Legacy event.

Photography Workshop

Learn to take better pictures from the combined experience of this group of amateur photographers. Beginners are encouraged to attend. Open discussion starts at 6:00 p.m. For teens and adults.

Hare and Tortoise Race to the Moon Storytime

Who will win the race? Visit the library to find out and make your own spaceship craft. No registration required. For ages 2 to 10.

Kumihimo Braiding with Megan

Kumihimo means “gathered threads.” It is a traditional Japanese art form once used to connect pieces of Samurai armor. Learn the history and techniques for creating these beautiful and versatile Japanese braids that can be used in jewelry making and decoration. A Legacy event.

Author Kevin Lovegreen

The Minnesota Author takes students on an educational and entertaining journey into the world of writing and illustrating children’s books. Each book is based on true encounters and the kids love to hear the author describe some of the adventures. The grand finale is the “World Famous” animal call challenge. Kevin performs different animal calls hunters use and has the kids guess which animal makes the sound. Each attendee can put their name in for a chance to win one of his new books. A Legacy event.
