Wrestlers Win Two At Tartan, Beat Little Falls Tuesday

The Becker wrestling team had great success this week, going 2-1 in a weekend tournament and beating Little Falls at home Tuesday night.

Becker 38, LF 30

Tuesday’s match against Little Falls came down to the heavyweight match with Bulldog Casey Vesledahl facing Little Falls’ Dustin Tabatt for the individual and team win. Vesledahl kept his composure and wrestled well eventually pinning Tabatt at the 3:02 mark of the match to give the Bulldogs the win.

“This was another huge win for us,” said Head Coach Matt Aho. “Again, we where the underdogs going into this match and our wrestlers stepped up and got the job done.”

The dual was close the entire night with Little Falls leading rather handily until Becker won five of the final six matches (including heavyweight) to steal the win.

“This win was truly a team effort and it shows how hard we have been working on improving and getting better,” said Aho.

The win over Little Falls helped the Bulldogs improve to 3-1 in the conference and 10-5 overall.
