In Becker’s final regular season home meet Thursday, the Bulldogs beat Princeton, 38-22 on senior night.
Seniors Tyler France, Bobby Lee, Tyler Madsen, Zack Zimmer, Mason Olson, Cody Stangler, and Jordyn Edling were saluted before the match.
“It was good to get the win tonight,” said Head Coach Matt Aho. “It was our last regular season dual and it being at home and it being senior night made it that more special. I am proud of how our wrestlers ended the regular dual season.”
The win put Becker’s season record at 15-6.

Sartell Triangular
The Becker wrestling team faced off against two worthy foes last Friday and came away with two big wins in a triangular at Sartell High School.
In the first meet, Becker took on conference foe Albany and triumphed big with a 46-20 win. The Bulldogs won half of the first 10 matches, then walked away with the easy win over the Huskies when the final four Bulldog wrestlers won their matches by forfeit.

In the second match of the day, Becker just eked out a close, 34-33 win over Sartell-St. Stephens when heavyweight Casey Vesledahl won the final match with an injury default over his opponent.
Sartell began the match winning six of the first nine matches, but when they reached the bigger Bulldog boys, they failed to pick up a win in the final five contests.

The Section 6AA playoffs for team competition commences Feb. 15 at Monticello High School followed by individual competition Feb. 21-22 at Becker High School.
