RACHEL VOGL shot a 76 Tuesday — her best round of the year — to help the Bulldogs garner second place at Foley with three invitationals left in the season.

Vogl Shoots 76, Gains In Conference Standings

Rachel Vogl was the medalist after shooting a 76 for Becker at a Granite Ridge Conference meet in Foley Tuesday.
 
Vogl’s 76 was the top score in the conference for the year.
 
St. Cloud Cathedral won the meet with a score of 334, followed by Becker with 347. Head Coach Steve Whittaker was extremely happy following Tuesday’s meet.
 
 
“That was our best score this year by 44 strokes,” he said.”Every one of our top six had their best score this year.”
With Vogl’s win, she now follows conference leader Lauren Herker of Cathedral by 11.5 points for the top spot amongst individuals with one more conference showdown Monday at Wapicada.
 
Becker scores: 1). Vogl 76; 2-tie). Macy Erson and Hanna Garcia 89; 4). Erica Brovold 93; 5). Ellie Goth 100; 6). Jenna Voight 108.
 
Team scores: 1). St. Cloud Cathedral 334; 2). Becker 347; 3). Milaca 383; 4). Foley 394; 5). Albany 447; 6). Mora 475.
 
“It seems like we are peaking at the right time and I am really excited for the next three weeks,” said Whittaker.

The girls head to St. Cloud to play at Wapicada Monday in their final conference meet, then play at Annandale Wednesday.
