SENIOR RACHEL VOGL was named the girls golf team MVP this week after she and Hannah Garcia combined to medal at Annandale in a scramble format tournament Wednesday. The team has one more regular season invite June 1 before sectional playoffs begin the following week.

The girls golf team played in Annandale Wednesday and had two golfers medal in a 12-team scramble.

Rachel Vogl and Hannah Garcia earned medalist honors for Becker, shooting a 69 in Wednesday’s 12-team scramble format golf tournament in Annandale.
 
 Camille Kuznik and Emma Pelcener of Orono took second with a 69.
 
Amber Eckstein and Melissa Schmidt shot a 70 to take third and help lead Monticello to a first-place finish.
 
Team scores: 1). Monticello 144; 2). Orono 146; 3). Becker 149; 4). Annandale Red and Waconia 153; 6). Big Lake 159; 7). Mound Westonka 161; 8). Delano 171; 9). Dassel-Cokato 174; 10). Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 188; 11). Glencoe-Silver Lake 190; 12). Annandale Black 201.
 
Girls Golf Awards
Becker’s letter winners include Rachel Vogl, Macy Erson, Hannah Garcia, Erica Brovold, Ellie Goth and Jenna Voight.
 
The JV  non-letter winners were Haley Hamacher and Haley Uecker.
 
All conference winners were Vogl and Erson. Honorable mention all-conference was   Garcia.
 
The team’s MVP was Vogl and most improved was Goth.
 
The girls finished in third in the Granite Ridge Conference.

The girls have their final regular season invitational June 1 at Wapicada Golf Course in St. Cloud, then section play begins June 6-7 at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell.
