The Becker boys basketball team lost two games this week, but celebrated their week with congratulations for senior Michael Veldman and his accomplishment of scoring 1,000 points in his high school career.
Albany 65, Becker 61
Kyle Birr had 18 points and Nick Raeker and Ben Hartmann put up 13 to help the Huskies defeat the Bulldogs Thursday night in Becker.
Michael Veldman had 19 points, Dawson Brown had 11 and Dillon Radunz had 10 for the Bulldogs.
Albany led 32-30 at halftime and the game stayed that close throughout as both teams scored one point better in the second frame.
Becker Scoring: Veldman 19, Brown 11, Radunz 10, Zack Moeller 6, Clayton Gallus 5, Matt Yoerg 3, Jake Fobbe 3, Blake Barthel 2 and Andrew Davalos 2.

DC 68, Becker 62
Veldman scored his 1,000th-career point for the Bulldogs in the first half and finished with 11 points, but Dassel-Cokato went on a 15-2 run in the last four minutes to win, 68-62 at Becker.
Dillon Radunz led the Bulldogs with 12 points, Dawson Brown added 10 and Andrew Davalos had 10.
Mathew Johnson and Dalton Asplin each scored 18 points for the Chargers.
Becker (8-13 overall) led 28-26 at halftime.
Becker Scoring: Radunz 12, Veldman 11, Brown 10, davalos 10, Moeller 8, Barthel 6, Yoerg 3 and Gallus 2.

Saturday, the Bulldogs head to Little Falls to play in a Jamboree tournament against teams from Foley, Little Falls, Mora, Cathedral and Albany. Becker starts the Jamboree with a game against Little Falls at 6 p.m.
Next week, the Bulldogs host Foley Tuesday and Cathedral Friday before hitting the road the following week for their final two regular season games.
