Trap Shooters On Target To Have Big Season

The Becker trap shooting team continued to add to their conference lead with another stellar week, despite having to deal with the cold and rain last week.  
 
“I am very proud of our team with the way we pulled together to take first place and now add to our lead,” said Head Coach Cary Rauch.  
 
Heidi Voigt of Becker was the top female shooter in the conference for the week and is averaging 21.17 points a week after three weeks.
 
In the Class 2A standings, Becker is in fourth place with 9,564.5 points. The top four teams in the class would advance to the MSHSL State Tournament. 
 
Class AA Standings:
1). Buffalo - 10,772; 2). Pequot Lakes - 9,443.5; 3). Walker/Hackensack/Ackley - 9.711; 4). Becker - 9,564.5; 5). Proctor - 8,551.5.
 
Class AA Conference 4

The Becker boys have three shooters in the top 10 in scoring with Michael Sakry, Kyle Schroder and Carter Garding all averaging 22.33 points a match.
 
The Becker girls have six of the top 10 spots covered with Heidi Voigt leading the way with 21.17 points, followed by Samantha May (19.00), Claire Voigt (17.67), Maria Sakry (17.50), Karen Schroeder )17.50) and McKenna Anderson (16.83).
