Three Becker middle school students tried out and made the Minnesota Heritage Hockey Club based out of Vadnais Heights.
Over 65 are kids tried out for the team in December and Cooper Fredericks, Ben Piehl and Nik Hughs will be representing Minnesota in the upcoming North American Hockey Classic in Winnipeg, Canada in June.
This tournament features some of the best players from Canada, the United States and Europe.
The trio hockey players recently played in a tournament on Mother’s Day weekend and claimed first place — compiling a 5-0 record and outscoring their opponents, 42-2.
