The Pebble Creek Women’s Club officially ended the 2020 season at their recent Fall Banquet where final champions were announced and a newly elected Board of Directors was seated.

“Being able to gather as a community of golfers this year was particularly valuable to our members given the impact of COVID in all of our lives,” said Karla Johnson, newly-confirmed Pebble Creek Women’s Club President. “The Pebble Creek Women’s Club is made up of a great group of women – who build friendships, improve their golf game and work together to expand the game of golf and support our local community through our Pebble Creek Cares program.”

Joining Johnson on the 2020-2021 Board of Directors is Past President Stacey Vetsch, Vice President Lori Keller, Treasurer Nicole Lane and Secretary Kirsten Voller along with four Directors: Robin Dingmann, Peggy Sogard, Jamie May and Amy Stanger.

Winners of the final competitions of the Pebble Creek Women’s Club season were announced including for the 9-Hole Year-End Tournament and the Match Play competitions. The awards for most significant improvement in performance were also presented.

The 2020 9-Hole Year-End Tournament first flight winners are Karla Johnson (1st place), Nicole Lane (2nd place) and Heather Abrahamson (3rd place). Second flight winners are LeAnn Reed (1st place), Pennee Schrupp (2nd place) and Melanie Perry (3rd place). Third flight winners are Mary Jo Stanger (1st place), Lori Berends (2nd place – tie) and Cheryl Ellingson (2nd place - tie) and Vonnie Novak (3rd place).  Fourth flight winners are Krisy Cox (1st place), Jamie May (2nd place) and Cindy Brennan (3rd place).

The 2020 Women’s Doubles Match Play Champions are Robin Dingmann and Nicole Lane and the runners-up are Kathy Hollenhorst and Kirsten Voller.  The 2020 Women’s Singles Match Play Champion is Nicole Lane and the runner-up is Sara Schliesing.

The player honored with the most significant improvement in performance for 2020 is Lori Berends.  Additionally, Allee Blank came in 1st place in the Ringer Board which tracks the most significant improvement hole by hole throughout the season.
