BECKER GUARD JOSH NOHNER scored 26 points in Becker’s loss to Mora last Friday night on the road and followed that up with 13 points Tuesday in Becker’s win over Foley, 60-54.

Nohner Scores 39 In Two Games To Help Bulldogs Go 1 1

The Becker Bulldog boys basketball team split two games this week with one game postponed because of inclement weather.

Michael Veldman led Becker to a win on the road with 16 points Tuesday night in Foley.
 
The Bulldogs overcame a six-point halftime deficit (35-29) and also got double-digit contributions from Nohner (13) and Dawson Brown (12) in the win.
 
Dallas Gapinski was the only Foley scorer in double figures with 12 points.
 
Becker Scoring: Michael Veldman 16, Josh Nohner 13, Dawson Brown 10, Blake Barthel 6, Andrew Davalos 6, Cole Anderson 5 and Erik Tungland 2.
 
Foley Scoring: Dallas Gapinski 12, Coleman Strosahl 8, John Greener 8, Mitch Weisser 7, Alex Eckman 7, Andy Klucas 6, Nick Corrigan 2,   Kyle Kipka 2 and  Devyn Fox 2.
 
Mora 68, Becker 65
 
The Bulldogs and Mustangs were tied at 34 at halftime, but Mora pulled away in the second half behind a 30-point effort from senior Sam Johnson to get the win at home last Friday night.
Becker’s Josh Nohner led the visitors with 26 points.
Just five players for Mora made the score sheet with three of them scoring double digits. Becker had eight players score and three in double figures.

Mora Scoring: Sam Johnson 30, Keyan Weaver 19, Greg Mork 13, Kaleb Kamrowski 3 and Michael Greenberg 3.
 
Thursday’s game against Zimmerman was postponed to Feb. 3 because of cold weather and the Bulldogs resume play  Monday at home against Monticello, followed by a road game at Milaca
Tuesday and another home game Friday against Little Falls. Saturday they travel to Sartell to play at 2:30 p.m.
