Becker alum Nikki Anderson finished off her college athletics career at Bemidji State in good order last weekend.
Anderson’s 4x400-meter relay team placed seventh at the 2016 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships Saturday to pace the Beavers.
The team of Anderson, Sara Melom, Emeline Sevila and Nicole Crummy, clocked a season-best time of 4:3.39 in the relay to post BSU’s top finish of the 2016 Championships and find a spot on the awards podium to cap the 2016 outdoor season.
That was just the start for the Beavers as the squad collected 13 season-best marks during the two-day, league championship event at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Both Chloe Miller and Anderson, narrowly missed out on the final heat, but posted season-best time in their preliminary race, finishing in times of 15.51 and 15.55 seconds.
In addition to Bemidji State, Minnesota State and Augustana, teams competing in the championships included: Concordia University-St. Paul, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Minot State University, Northern State University, Southwest Minnesota State, St. Cloud State University University of Minnesota Duluth, University of Mary, Upper Iowa University, Wayne State College and Winona State University.
