Monticello Shuts Out Eagles

The Eagles hockey team failed to score in a 7-0 loss at Monticello last week. 
 
In the first period, The Monticello/Annandale/ Maple Lake team scored three goals against the Eagles, adding three more in the second. The Moose would finish off the Eagles with one more goal in the final period.
 
A total of 13 shot attempts by the Eagles were all saved by Moose goalie Connor Bird. Eagles goaltender Justin Morrow saved 32 of 29 shot attempts against him.
 
There was six penalties in the game, with two minor penalties against the Eagles.
 
The Eagles’ season record now falls to 1-6-0. Pine City still sits atop the Two Rivers Conference at 5-5-0. The Eagles play Austin Dec. 28, and Windom Dec. 29, both at Richfield. Their next home game is Jan. 5 when they host Litchfield at 7:30 p.m.
