The football season is finally upon us and the Becker Bulldogs will again be a strong favorite to win the conference and advance far into the playoffs.
Last year, the Bulldogs had a remarkable regular season, trampling every opponnet they faced enroute to a perfect 8-0 record and then a first round win. Unfortunately, they let a lead and their season slip through their hands when they lost to ROCORI in the Section 8-4A championship.
The Minnesota high school football season started this past Thursday with the Bulldogs facing off against Hill Murray at home in an alumni game. Becker is hoping to play for a fourth state championship.
Key date: Bulldogs play the ROCORI Spartans in October on the road with the hope of getting payback for the tough loss from last year.
