The Clear Lake Lakers baseball team lost their first game of the year Sunday to the Sartell Muskies, 10-0.
David Deminsky struck out 14 Clear Lake batters in five innings of work. Only one out was recorded by a Muskie fielder in his outing.
The Muskies tallied one run in the first, two in the third then broke open the game in the later innings, scoring four in the seventh and three in the eighth.
Clear Lake garnered just two hits compared to Sartell’s 16. The Lakers also committed two errors.
Clear Lake’s next game is May 15 against St. Joseph Joes at 7 p.m. on their home field. The rest of the month shows the Lakers playing the Foley Lumberjacks May 21 on the road, the Muskies on the road May 27 and back home against Litchfield May 28.
The Lakers play in the SaukValley League.
